On March 20, 2008, our basketball team played a demonstrative match against the CCSH Lamont Cluj-Napoca team at the opening of the Harlem Globertrotters show. This game took place in the “Horia Demian” Hall in front of a large audience , Of over 2000 viewers.
In 2008, in September, we organized for the first time in Arad a basketball competition in the wheelchair, called “Ziridava Cup”. It was the 4th round of the Romanian Basketball Wheelchair Cup.

“The Ziridava Cup” has become a national competition known among disabled athletes. Thus, in 2009 and 2010 we organized the 2nd and 3rd editions. A basketball national basketball team was formed around our basketball players (Gelu Vrabie, Gabriel-Ovidiu Dronca, Florin Străchinaru and Ionică Chiaburu), team coached by Ms. Anca-Mădălina Pălie (training our club). In September 2010, the national basketball team in the wheelchair participated in the “Black Sea Tournament” in Istanbul, where it ranked third. Since our establishment, our athletes have participated in almost all national competitions and have won many medals at the following sports: basketball, athletics (throwing the spear, throwing weight, cross, speed, resistance), tennis Table, powerlifting, darts.

At this moment our sports club has 18 members, of which 8 are legitimate members of the National Paralympic Committee. An we can’t support them without your HELP.
